Finely crafted walnut frame with brass splines.
To make these, I carefully choose which and how each piece will fit in the frame. Once glued together, a groove is then cut in order to add the brass accent splines and provide additional strength to the miter joints. I then route an 1/8" round-over on the most prominent edges, sand everything to 220 grit, and finish with two coats of Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C Pure, leaving a satin finish.
Due to the highly labor-intensive process, material cost is relatively negligible. Therefore, different widths of frame are priced the same.
