For those looking to drill a dog hole grid/MFT-style table top, this is a means to do so affordably and efficiently.

This jig is spaced at 96mm on center, which is standard in MFT tops for 20mm dog holes. It is intended to be used with a 7/8" ID/1" OD guide bushing on a plunge router of your choice and with the recommended 20mm dog hole router bit (Trend C030DX1/2TC, amazon link below).

*While other 20mm router bits will work, I found the Trend brand bit to be most effective for the repetitive plunge cuts that are made while drilling dog holes. Additionally, it comes in a standard 1/2" collet size, while many other 20mm boring bits require a metric collet. Overall, it also held up very well. The picture you see in the listing is after cutting 180 dog holes in a 1 1/2" MDF table top. Additionally, the item is listed as 25/32" cutting diameter, but it is actually 20mm.

Why choose 20mm over 3/4"? Because there are more precision accessories available for 20mm dog holes. UJK is a fantastic brand for these accessories if you're interested, but even if you don't plan on splurging on some rails, dogs, etc. from them, it's nice to know they'll fit if you ever decide to.

**NOTE: this jig is affordable, and reasonably accurate. If you are looking for absolute precision, this jig is not for you. When checking for square on my benchtop, most of the holes were somewhere between 1/32"-1/16" out of square over a 24" run.

Dimensions:
Plate: 10.7" (272mm) x 10.7" (272mm)
Thickness: 1/4"
Spacing: 96mm on center between holes
Guide pins: fits 20mm dog holes
Guide holes: fits 1"OD guide bushing

Purchase includes:
-Dog Hole Routing Template
-4x Guide Pins
